Ted's Fried Clams Re-Opens

We recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand re-opening of Ted's Fried Clams in Shapleigh. Their mission has remained unchanged since the doors first opened on Emery Mills Road in 1950. What began as a small Maine clam shack built on hard work and family values continues today as a commitment to exceptional seafood, genuine hospitality, and community pride.

Co-Owner Joe Christopher owns multiple local businesses, and Ted’s brings him back to his roots. As a teen, Joe worked at Ted’s in the kitchen, and recently revisited the opportunity to repair the building and open the business again, working to bring back the classic food and flavors that people love, including over thirty-two flavors of ice cream.
