Sanford Country Club has become aware of a company named Direct Fairways Inc. that is reaching out to area businesses soliciting advertisements for Sanford Golf Club. Please be informed and aware: Sanford Country Club (SCC) has no business relationship with Direct Fairways Inc. SCC fell victim to a telephone scam late last year. Whatever revenues Direct Fairways extract from local businesses are retained by them; and/or directed to their 3rd party commissioned based outbound phones sales team. SCC does not use external companies to solicit advertisers.
Direct Fairway's is a Tempe, Arizona based company, and is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). In fact, significant amounts of negative feedback are recorded on the BBB website about their business practices, noting high pressure sales tactics, and dubious often reprehensible business practices. Since SCC became aware of being a target, we have instructed Direct Fairways on several occasions to cease and desist in reaching out to businesses using our name or derivations of it. We are currently contemplating legal action against their company, management team and ownership to help protect local and loyal businesses who have been unwittingly duped.If you or your company has been contacted by them, and/or signed up for their fraudulent solicitations, feedback from the BBB suggests you try to get out of your contract.
